Dennis Höning studied Geophysics at the University of Münster and completed his PhD 2016 at the German Aerospace Center in Berlin. Subsequently, as an Origins Center Research Fellow at the VU Amsterdam, he focussed on feedbacks that control the habitability of Earth and other planets. Currently, at the Potsdam-Institute for Climate Impact Research, he explores tipping points in the Earth System, particularly related to the Greenland ice sheet.
