Present in 16 countries with 170 stations, it monitors greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere and carbon fluxes between the atmosphere, land and oceans for climate change mitigation. The ICOS Italy Network consists of 25 stations, of which 15 for the ecosystem, 5 for the ocean and 5 for the atmosphere.
