A collaboration between leading European research institutions presented SCoV2-MD, an online resource to collect and organize atomistic and phylogenetic data on the dynamics of the whole SARS-CoV-2 proteome and its variants. SCoV2-MD cross-references the time-resolved data available at the molecular level with the evolution of the pandemic, by tracking thousands of variants of the viral genome, sequenced and made available during the pandemic. The initiative is a collaboration between researchers at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute and the National Research Council of Italy, who during the pandemic lockdown joined forces with colleagues at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Dompé Farmaceutici, and the Swiss Paul Scherrer Institute
