The Institute of condensed matter chemistry and technologies for energy (Cnr-Icmate) has been awarded two Horizon Europe Projects, NET4Air and ECHO, to carry-on research on air quality monitoring and on energy efficiency. Together with the National Institute for Research and Development in Microtechnologies (IMT-Bucharest, Romania) and the Tyndall Institute (Cork, Ireland), Icmate is in the NET4Air Consortium to significantly improve its research capacity in the field of air quality monitoring. As to ECHO project, Icmate will collaborate with several partners from Italy, Spain, Romania, Belgium, Turkey, Serbia and UK to develop Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions as a flexible and building-integrated system for optimizing energy management from grids to final users.
