National Antarctic Research Program
The National Antarctic Research Program (PNRA) is the Italian program that has the task of developing and supporting Italian scientific research in Antarctica. It is directed by the MUR and the CNR carries out the scientific coordination of the activities.
Testa Grigia Research Station
Testa Grigia Research Station, located in Plateau Rosà, is a climate and environmental observation center, specialized in measurements of aerosols, CO₂, methane and cosmic radiation. Founded in 1948 for the study of cosmic rays, today it also hosts studies on greenhouse gases and black carbon, with a focus on climate change.
